JAWS Total Climbing System (TCS).
>> Quick Comparison Chart
Jaws TCS features eleven different ladders and 50 different sizes and positions built right into the design - yet it's all in one compact, easy to store piece of equipment.
JAWS is extremely safe and strong, meeting and exceeding all the OSHA, ANSI and CSA safety requirements. Our most popular JLT Series Ladders carry the highest safety rating available through OSHA - the 1AA Rating (*375 lbs).
*To achieve the 1AA Rating, each ladder is load-tested using a 4:1 safety factor of 1500 lbs. Each JAWS ladder is fabricated, machined, welded and assembled under the strictest of quality control standards, then physically inspected and tested several times before it leaves the factory.
What's the difference between JAWS and all the other brands?
>> Quick Comparison Chart
Let's start with the hinges, because they are the single most important part of any telescoping ladder system. Hinges can be loose and wobbly, or they can be strong and tight... The hinges are what determine the quality, useability and service life of your investment.
Since 1981
There are many brands of multipurpose telescoping ladder systems on the market today. But JAWS is the only system which features a mechanical, interlocking-tooth radial clutch hinge. We have been building JAWS this way since 1981.
Instead of the common arrangement which uses 2 to 3 hinge pins on a spring (aka: "pop-and-lock" mechanism), JAWS features a pair of 369.1 aluminum alloy hinges with forty interlocking teeth which draw down mechanically and tightly every time, with no flop, slop, wobble or play.

The most noticeable benefit is that you have a significantly stiffer ladder which does not sag, bounce, twist or deflect - no matter how tall you extend it.
*JAWS is easy to operate, too. Just select the position you want for the job, turn the knobs in opposite directions and you're done. That's it! No jammed fingers, sticky springs or hidden parts, and there's nothing to break or wear out. JAWS ladders are built to last a lifetime.
5 Positions at the Hinge... Not just 2
>> Quick Comparison Chart
Because of its design, JAWS can be locked into more positions than any other. Instead of just 2 positions at the hinge, JAWS can be locked into FIVE convenient, usable angles.
The additional positions are especially useful when you need to articulate the ladder "up and then over" an obstacle - such as a toolshed, an awning, a dormer, a high countertop, etc.
Some ladders offer some of these positions, but only JAWS has them all:
Better Engineering Makes a Better Ladder.
The siderails of each JAWS Ladder are constructed of fully extruded (not stamped or pressed) aluminum alloy #6061-T6 for superior strength and corrosion resistance. This plus our EXTRA-DEEP "I-Beam" Rail Construction makes JAWS up to 60% stiffer during side-by-side comparisons using vertical and horizontal load tests.
The outer rungs of JAWS are heliarc welded, not riveted, and they're never covered with plastic caps which can trap moisture and cause corrosion. JAWS Ladders are built to last a lifetime.
